Director of Engineering

  • Coordinate and operate, in an economical, legal and safe manner, all Air/Heating, Lighting, Power and Repair & Maintenance for the hotel.
  • Inspect physical resort and maintenance equipment, and shall supervise maintenance and preventative maintenance program of that area.
  • Coordinate with other departments all necessary repairs to maintain general conditions, safety and health standards set forth by hotel policy and legal requirements.
  • Interview, hire, train and counsel engineering associates to the Omni standards.
  • Directly supervises Engineering associates in operation and control of utilities to provide efficient operation of hotel services and comfort to guests.
  • Recommend to management possible projects for future capital budgets. Obtain bids, supervise and coordinate contractors in performance of project work.
  • Maintain own and hotel's specific permits and licenses as required by local authorities.

Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities   

  • Responsible for all animal intakes, all animals’ health, care and medical well-being while they reside at the shelter.  
  • Responsible for all documentation of animal care.  
  • Responsible for communicating regularly with the Executive Director and staff pertaining to all issues associated with health: injuries, illness, behavior, feeding, nutrition, exercise restriction and availability status. Included herein would be any information that would impact the care, quarantine, isolation and or adoption of the animals.  
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory, ordering, issuing and administrating medications, medical supplies and prescription foods in compliance with federal, state and local requirements under the supervision of the Shelter Veterinarian.  
  • Responsible for ensuring all medical records and health certificates meet the requirements for each transport by
    working closely with the Adoption Coordinators.   
  • Provide medical explanation to approved adopters of shelter animals, as needed.  

Animal Shelter Adoption Coordinator

General Responsibilities   

  • Responsible for adoptions and follow up of shelter animals in compliance with the adoption policies and procedures via shelter visitors, adoption events, and rescue partner transports.

    successful matches of animals and adopters.
      
  • Verifies any medical needs of adoptable animals with the Medical Team prior to adoption.

General Maintenance Technician

You will serve on a team whose job is to help the guests of Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort enjoy a memorable stay at the Resort in a home or villa that is clean, safe, and exceeds expectations. You will contribute to the success of the Resort supporting the departments who ensure the cleanliness and quality of all the resort rental units. By supporting our company's Noble Purpose, your top priority will be to "care about our guests, and the impact you make on their lives."

This position is responsible for the overall working order of all the resort rental units within contractual guidelines as defined by the Director of Property Management. This position reports to the General Maintenance Manager.

  • When interacting with each guest, leave them with a "WOW" story to tell about their experience
  • Share customer impact stories with your team in meetings and with management.
  • Maintain all rental units in proper working order as defined by the Property Management Division.
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment where applicable.
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
  • Assist in gathering quotes from 3rd party vendors for renovations or repairs.
  • Estimate repair costs.
  • Perform repairs to rental property as needed during occupancy of units
  • Scheduling with tenants to gain access for repair work as needed.
  • Respond to emergency calls when directed by employer or office staff.

  • Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of
    drains, etc.) to provide operable and efficient plumbing capabilities.
  • Assists in performing scheduled and "as needed" inspection and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to maintain operability of the tools and equipment.
  • Attend work unit staff meetings to obtain and disseminate information and participate in discussions on appropriate resolutions to problems.
  • Replaces / Update or Repair (e.g. smoke alarms, cabinets, shelves, tile, light fixtures, filter systems, etc.) to provide a safe, comfortable environment

 

Requirements

  • Must have two years historical work experience in a maintenance related field. Resort environment or private home/villa repairs a plus.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks and meet appropriate deadlines.
  • Must have some general IT knowledge.
  • Communicate orally with team members, co-workers, employees, contractors and vendors to obtain and provide useful information.
  • Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and temperature extremes, indoors or outdoors to complete work assignments.
