ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

Job duties include although are not limited to:  

Oversee the daily operation of the Paintbox department, resort activities, wellness offerings. 

Ongoing creative development and execution of all resort activities and wellness offerings including daily, seasonal, holidays, and special requests for groups and social functions.  

Design and implement educational/teaching programs that use natural resources surrounding the resort.  

Art and craft enrichment programs will be daily activities within Paintbox that challenge the use of children’s imagination and promote property sense of place.  

Maintain budget, payroll control, supply management, amenity offerings while evaluating the cost effectiveness of the operations. Responsible for department accuracy of financials and driving profitability.  

Properly communicate with the resort staff and resort guests all upcoming programs and offerings within Paintbox, family activities, and wellness activities to ensure awareness and engagement levels.  

Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented, functional, and adhered to consistently. Anticipate guest needs.
Oversee scheduling, inventory, organization and execution of educational training programs for all departments.  

Manage the marketing of Paintbox and activity programming. This includes timely communication with the marketing department on future programs and offerings.  

Maintain relationships and communication with past and future guests with pre and post visit correspondence.  

Build relationships with community partner vendors to elevate and enhance guest activity offerings on property.  

Develop relationships and work with all department heads to ensure the successful operation of resort activity programming and Paintbox.  

Interview, hire and train the staff and coordinate additional staff members from other departments.  

Conduct regular scheduled meetings with departments. Assist, motivate, and mentor associates as needed and in line with standard operating procedures.  

Attend necessary meetings for constant communication including but not limited to divisional leaders meeting weekly, daily staff line up, and rooms meetings.  

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Managers are required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  

Minimum of 2 years working experience with children ages 5-12 years.  

Minimum of 2 years Luxury Hotel experience leading teams preferred. 

Strong passion for customer service; experience handling and resolving guest concerns in a timely manner 

Strong passion for creative programming and organizational skills  

Ability to communicate effectively with all age groups  

Have a vast array of knowledge about children’s activities and environmentally inspired programming.   

 

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS  

CPR and First Aid certified required  

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

Must be
able to exert well-paced ability in limited space. working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis. Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
