Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Provides supervision to assigned staff;

• Manages and coordinates with Town departments the preparation and issuance of formal solicitations to procure required goods and services;

• Maintains integrity of procurement process;

• Develops, drafts and recommends changes to Town Procurement Code;

• Researches market sources and vendors to locate and ensure most cost effective and competitive pricing;

• Prepares and issues solicitations documents;

• Receives and evaluates proposals and bids;

• Conducts negotiations with suppliers on proposals, contracts and contract claims;

• Recommends standard contract clauses;

• Reviews and executes contracts, purchase orders, change orders, contract amendments and other documents
