Skillets Cafe & Grill, established 1993, is a family-owned restaurant located in the heart of Hilton Head Island, offering a variety of delicious comfort food, seafood, and southern specialties in a family-friendly atmosphere. We're known for our signature breakfast dishes, endless salad bar, and extensive kids' menu, all served with a focus on freshness and quality.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and adherence to quality standards, ensuring efficiency and profitability
Manage kitchen staff and front-of-house team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork.
Oversee inventory management and cost control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Implement and uphold food safety regulations and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health codes.
Utilize POS systems for order processing, sales tracking, and reporting.
Plan and coordinate special events.
Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices in food service.
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly
Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop seasonal menus and specials
Qualifications
Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a management role within a restaurant setting.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
Familiarity with POS systems and their operational functions.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience
ServSafe Manager certification preferred
