Assistant Golf Professional

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who shows a desire to ascend within the industry. 

Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Provide excellent customer service to the club’s members and guests.
  • Proactive in handling member engagements.
  • Knowledgeable in tournament operations (Golf Genius software).
  • Manage Fore Tees tee time and Jonas POS systems.
  • Support the Head Professionals in promoting a positive, interactive, and team-oriented atmosphere with the operation.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with all department heads to gain a better working knowledge of the entire club operation.
  • Assist merchandise manager with all aspects of retail experience.
  • Meet with Head Professionals weekly to provide feedback on the operations.
  • Provide golf instruction in conjunction with the Director of Instruction
  • Promote all club activities.
  • Display a working knowledge of the Clubs Rules and Rules of Golf.
  • Desire to play golf with the membership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary/Benefits:

  • Salary ranges from $45,000-55,000, includes anticipated lesson income.
  • The Assistant Golf Professional will receive 100% of lesson income and club repair.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

PGA Apprentice or PGA Class A Member in good standing

  • Preferred minimum of two years’ experience in an upscale private club golf operation
  • A desire to be a part of a dynamic team environment.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Working conditions require the ability to work in all types of weather and the ability to climb stairs, walk, reach, bend, and lift on a regular basis.
